Implemented measures of the CPA group in connection with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Curacao Ports Authority is following the local and international developments closely with regards to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As the latest measures imposed by the Government of Curacao and the Maritime Authority Curacao impact the operations within the port it is important that all stakeholders take note of the publications posted on the governmental website:

The Government imposed measures include among others that maritime traffic is prohibited to enter our country with few exceptions for large commercial shipping (cargo ships) arriving with cargo, requesting bunkers or seeking repairs. Please review the government official link provided above to study and adhere to these measures.

In addition to the policy stipulated by the Government of Curacao, CPA imposed additional restrictions via ships agents for all incoming vessels to protect our personnel and clients. Some employees will work from home to comply with the stipulated social distancing recommendation while ensuring continuity of vessel traffic within our ports. All office meetings have been suspended and we will resort to audio visual tools until further notice. For the CPA, CPO and KTK offices please note the following changes as of March 17th:

  • No visitors are allowed to any of our locations without prior appointment
  • The cashiers are closed and only online payments will be accepted
  • The ‘Havenveiligheidsinspektie’ (HVI) department resorting under the Harbor Master has implemented new temporary procedures for payments and handling of all requests. Please contact the Harbor Master office before visiting the HVI counter at 5999-4345972
  • All navigational classes and exams are suspended until further notice

CPA, CPO and KTK are committed to ensure continuity of vessel traffic within our ports to guarantee the Island’s essential imports and exports in this time of crisis. For any questions please contact us at 5999-4345999 or
