MSC Magnifica for the first time on Curaçao

The cruise ship MSC Magnifica of the cruise line MSC Cruises, made its first visit to Curaçao with 2,294 passengers and 1,027 crew members on board.

As is customary, the Captain and crew hold an inaugural ceremony with the representatives of the cruise sector, such as Curaçao Ports Authority, Chamber of Commerce, the shipping agent which in this case is Maduro Shipping, the Immigration and Customs. During the ceremony, the Captain and the crew are welcomed on Curaçao and there is an exchange of placards.

What makes the visit of this ship different is that it is a ship that makes a world tour of 119 days (4 months). The ship left Italy on 4 January, went to Spain and Portugal, then crossed the Atlantic to Saint Maarten, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, then Curaçao and on to Aruba, Colombia, Panama Canal, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, continue to California to cross the Pacific Ocean and visit various islands on Hawaii, the Fiji Islands, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Greece, Italy and to finish in Spain.
The cruise ship has a length of 294 meters and a gross tonnage of 95,000 and sails under Panamanian flag.
