Caribbean Fusion MOU signed

CPA has signed a MOU with Aruba, Colombia and Dominican Republic to establish a joint cruise partnership referred to as ‘Caribbean Fusion’

Caribbean fusion refers to the mixture of cultures that created these destinations to the blend of heritage, assortment of unique attractions and variety of experiences.

The purpose of the partnership is to initiate and promote a cruise itinerary between the ports of the destinations and bring as such economic prosperity to the communities, businesses and residents through the cruise business. The joint cruise alliance visited the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) and presented the Caribbean Fusion concept to its operations committee, which was very well received. The joint cruise alliance will now proactively approach the cruise lines with an itinerary cruise package to expand cruise opportunities pertaining to the different destinations.

Minister Rhuggenaath supports the initiative fully and looks forward to increase the quantity of cruise ships visiting Curaçao, creating as such further economic development within the local cruise industry. The Chief Commercial Officer of CPA, Mr. Raul Manotas has provided Minister Rhuggenaath with a copy of the signed MOU and the Caribbean Fusion concept document.
