CPA signs Sister Port Agreement with the Port of Surinam

Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) has signed a so-called “Sister-Port Cooperation Agreement” with N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname.

Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) has signed a so-called “Sister-Port Cooperation Agreement” with N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname, establishing a formal collaboration to explore commercial opportunities between the two port companies in the areas of freight, infrastructure, cruise development and maritime services relating to, among other things, the petroleum and gas industry. The Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Cijntje, the Consul General of Suriname and the President of the Supervisory Board of CPA were also present at the signing of the agreement by the management of CPA and Port Management Suriname. CPA continuously strives to further strengthen its relationships with ports around the world that are meaningfully connected to the port of Willemstad. In this regard, CPA has close contacts with prominent ports and maritime entities such as the Port of Miami, the Port of Rotterdam, Panama Canal Authority, the Port of Sans Souci, Haina International Terminals, APORDOM, Aruba Ports Authority, the Port of Sint Maarten, the Port of Bonaire and Kingston Wharves Limited in Jamaica.
