The Government of Curaçao together with the directors of government companies Curoil, Aqualectra, RDK, CPA and KTK sign cooperation agreement.

The Government of Curaçao has received the directors of government companies Curoil, Aqualectra, RDK, CPA and KTK during a meeting of the Council of Ministers, to sign a cooperation agreement to develop and implement energy-related projects.

The companies have signed this agreement with the aim to create more efficiency in the sector and to develop projects that will generate additional revenue. The companies consider it an advantage that they will be sharing their knowledge and expertise, to transform and contribute to economic growth of our country together.

In the short term, this will commence with – among others – the project to use the tanks at Emmastad and Bullenbaai to store energy products, which will lead to an increase of maritime traffic in the harbor and additional revenue.
In addition, possibilities will be explored to introduce LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), and to develop infrastructures for electric cars and sustainable energy.

By signing this agreement, the abovementioned government companies have committed to joining forces to keep innovating and to create more efficiency in the sector.
