Curaçao Pilots Organization and ABVO reach a settlement on a new collective labor agreement

A final settlement was reached on a new collective labor agreement (CAO) for a period of three years between CPO and ABVO.A final settlement was reached on a new collective labor agreement (CAO) for a period of three years (from Jan. 1, 2015, to Dec. 31, 2017) between the General Federation of Government Employees (ABVO) and Curaçao Pilots Organization (CPO). CPO is a subsidiary of Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), which includes both the pilots and Harbor and Safety Inspection (HVI). Both parties are satisfied with the result achieved.
The signing of the CAO took place on Tuesday, Sept. 1st, 2015, at Restaurant & Café Gouverneur de Rouville, the management team of both CPA and CPO were present, as well as the pilot team, HVI, co-workers of Fort Nassau (port traffic control center) and representatives of the union ABVO.
The collective agreement was signed by the director of CPO, Mr. H. de Castro and the president of ABVO, Mr. W. Calmes and the secretary of ABVO, Mr. G. Wilson.
CPO has also expanded its team with two pilots in training, while one pilot was promoted to senior pilot.
