The Queen Emma Bridge is one of Curaçao’s most iconic landmarks, connecting Punda and Otrobanda for more than a century.In the beginning of August 2026, the Queen Emma Bridge will temporarily be taken out of service.
As we prepare for its upcoming modernization, the Queen Emma Bridge will retain the historic appearance and charm that have made it an icon of Curaçao. Important upgrades will be implemented to improve reliability and sustainability, ensuring the bridge is equipped to serve future generations while preserving its historical significance.
